maybe what bro agustie meant by supplements are those slimming pills available in some stores. i agree the best way is still the natural way with lesser complications and lesser cost. although there are products with APPROVED THERAPEUTIC CLAIMS in the market which are backed up by valid and strong studies on efficacy and safety, i would still go with the natural way. but if you must, dont gamble on supplements with No Approved Therapeutic Claims. it only means one thing: they were not given approval by the government on any claim to cure illnesses because they cant present adequate proof the back up the claim. be aware also of those so called 'Herbal' medications which are marketed as totally safe and free of side effects. i bet the manufacturers cant show a strong study to give credence to that claim. lahat ng gamot, no exemptions, herbal or synthetic may side effect. you can qoute me on that

Kaya kailangan ilagay ang "No approved therapeutic claim".

Libre lang kung in my own will, dyan dati sa pinas binabayaran nila ako, hehe. Dont do too much sit ups kung malaki pa ang taba sa abdominal area, mas lalo lang lalaki and tiyan mo if you develop your abdominal muscles kasi itutulak lang nya yung taba palabas. Remember that underneath your skin is the fats then underneath the fats is your abdominal muscles which are being develop by situps.

Mas ok kung idagdag mo na lang muna sa cardio mo like jogging yung time na gagamitin mo sa sit ups, sabay mo na lang ito kasama ng weight training kung me xtra time ka na.

Yes sir, i was referring to slimming pills especially those with contents of mahuang or ephidrine. Staying natural is the best way kung health and fitness ang pinaguusapan, ibang usapan naman kung bodybuilding lalo na for competition na.

    .

lets look at it this way:

food supplements, as the term implies are add ons to the food you are taking. pangdagdag lang sa kinakain mo para mapunan kung ano ang pagkukulang. ibig sabihin, pagkain sya, di sya gamot.

now, tanong nyo, bakit may mga advertisements na nagpapahiwatig na nakakagamot sya? may lusot sila doon. that lusot is the word: 'nakakatulong'. the endorser, usually a popular personality, would state: 'nakakatulong sa paggamot ng... blah, blah, blah...' sinabi ba nya na nakakagamot? i bet no.

now, there are herbal medications which have been known by history to be therapeutic. no one will argue with that. these food supplement manufacturers are banking on this historical data and several not so strong evidence to market their products. di palang ganun kalakas ang proweba kaya marketed na lang muna sa food supplement. madali lang kasi magpa register sa BFAD ng pagkain. submit ka lang ng samples, pay the needed fees then when proven to be safe for human consumption, ok na yan. its far different if you attempt to register it as a drug.

ganito kasi yan, for a substance to be approved by BFAD as a drug, the manufacturer must state what diseases can it cure and that it is safe. the manufacturer then is asked to show evidence of their claim. there are different levels of evidence and anecdotal claims, even those given by doctors as expert opinion, if not backed by strong studies are consedered weak evidences. kaya nga when a drug rep would come to me and tell me his drug can cure a particular type of illness, my first question is: where's your proof? then, if he can provide me with one, i'll examine the study to know if the claim is valid or not. BFAD has stringent methods on this kaya mahirap magpa approve ng product as a drug or medication.

basta ganito yan, products whose labels show : No Approved Therapeutic Claim still lack proof of efficacy to show that such product can really heal the illness it implies to cure. These are marketed as supplements and as such should be considered as food and not drugs

i think mahuang and ephedrine are derivatives of ephedra. these are regulated under the Dangerous Drugs Act. this is the reason why there are a lot of slimming pills which specifically indicate that they are ephedrine-free. still, i dont advise people to use them lalo na pag hypertensive

bro displina talaga. Ako nahihirapan din pero almost 2 years ago almost 400lbs ako. Ngayon im down to 265lbs. Im still fat but im proud to lose so much weight. Daming times ko na naisip na wala nang nangyayari sa pagpapayat ko pero eto pa din ako everyday gym. Sit ups will not do fast results. Patitigasin lang nya tyan mo. Gawin mo mag cardio ka then sit ups pagtapos. Why not crunches para di masyado masakit sa likod. I do crunches everyday. 150per set then 60 per set sideways left and right mga 3 sets.

right now i am missing the foods that i love dahil natural ko iyun. I eat anything,I drink beer once or twice a week.Pero in moderation pero paminsan minsan dumadami. But i make it sure that i work out the next day na tipong nagugutom ka na sa loob ng gym hehehe.

The only problem i have is my skin. Medyo nag sasag so ayoko pumayat pa ng mabilis at baka magmukha akong basahan.
