good evening pa help naman po sa mga masters. may dropsy kasi pearlie ko. Ngayong gabi lang nagsimula yung dropsy nya. The other day day kasi nag pop eye sya, pero isang mata lang nya i was thinking injury *** yun kasi nag search ako sa internet usually kung isa lang injury lang daw yun.
Will tetracycline suffice? or may mas magandang antibiotic dito? Kawawa naman yung ang malapit na yung mag isang taon. Bigay pa naman sa akin ni commander yun kaya malaki sentimental value nun sa akin.... Nasa hospital tank na sya ngayon

pero it's up to syempre, kasi nga sobrang important yang gf mo sayo so maybe you want na yung may pangalan na meds, pero same effect lang din yun eh... :D

sana gumaling po yung gf nyo sr.
Is the pearlie still eating? You could seize the opportunity to mix antibiotic powder with the food you feed it. Your other option is treating it with epsom salt (magnesium sulfate).

its not eating but she still swims around. i dont think we have epsom salt sold here. Were do you usually buy it?
Try the pharmacies.:) Ask for "epsom salt" or "magnesium sulfate".

i think so it started with a popeye on just one part. i was feeding it daphnia before it started.

The tikus pearlies do tend to be sensitive especially towards infections. I'd just avoid the same source where you get daphnias from. I remember you saying your source also had other fish with them which is in fact, one reason why to avoid obtaining live foods where they live especially as they share the pathogens acting as carriers otherwise the daphnia would not have been an issue.
You could always go with mosquito larva but when I do that, I had to watch constantly for developments or risk breeding mosquitoes instead.:o

did you check your water parameters in your main tank? how often are you making water changes? fish usually can resist bacterial/parasite infections if their environmental patterns are ok.

that's good sir. minalas lang po kayo sa daphnia.
btw available ba mga frozen fish food sa pilipinas?
Yep. Frozen bloodworms are. Get shrimps, scallops, clams and mussels in wet markets. I haven't seen frozen mosquito larva, tubifex worms and daphnia available yet except only as live and freeze-dried. I don't give freeze-dried stuff to my goldfish. Problem is they add up air and last time, I tried freeze-dried shrimps to my ryukins, they get floaty.

freeze dried tend to last just for one week any longer than that and there are no nutrients left for your fish..
i tried freeze dried tubifex here fbw medyo may konting kamahalan especially if your in the breeeding business.

you can do your own frozen mosquito larva:D just pour hot water on them. you'll know when its cooked cause they give of a smell. tapos lagay mo lang sa container tapos freezer mo lang :D
