try mo din yung 5 cannister type round din siya parang nasa loob ng mahabang cylinder type see-through container tapos malakas yung pump niya. Name ng pump niya ATMAN.

For 90 and 50 gals meron ohf na long. I use that. And Canister type filter. motor dati pa nasira. I use precision 950-D pang ohf. If u open that me 2 motors there. Junk the filter use the motor sa intake. ok na! No need to junk canister filters or filter di ba?

Ito rin gamit ko, ang lakas talaga. kaso lang yung consumption niya malakas din, 35w:)

Yes kamuntik din ako bumili ito. But meron topic ** dati about 4 or 3 foot long ohf. Iyong Ang nabili ako. Konti retoke ok na. 20w lang. Iyong I use net too scoop poo sa floor. Rarely look at filter and if I do, laba 1st stage cotton wool. I use ohf and canister as bio filter. Konti wool. Rest rings na.

Sorry, makikisingit lang ng question dito. Di pa kasi ako pwede mag-create ng thread;

I'm using an old ohf and a china brand power head with sponge filter attached to it. Malinaw naman ang water so I guess ok naman filtration.

Napansin ko lang na medyo di kalakasan ang bagsak ng h20 from the ohf. Enough na ba talaga ito to aerate the water? Nabasa ko kasi na tanggalin daw yung bubbles ng power pump since it stresses the fish. Mukhang comfy naman fish ko so far. Thanks

Usually sir, the ohf comes with its own pump. This is to make sure the pump rate is appropriate with the ohf design. Kung malakas ang pump at maliit yung ohf, may tendency to overflow. Yung bubble maker naman ng pump usually is not needed if you have the ohf. Yung flow ng water sa ohf creates enough air/water contact to oxygenate the water. Kung maliit naman ang pump and you put sponge filter, medyo hihina talaga ang flow kasi mare-restrict lalo na kung clogged na ang sponge. Kung flow rate naman ng pump, ang norm is 5-10 times the tank volume ang flow rate in an hour (naka-indicate 'to sa pump). Let's say you have a 20 gallon tank, ideally the pump should turn over 100 gallons/hour at the minimum.

Thanks sir. Capacity kasi ng power head ko is 600 l/hour so compute ko ok naman sa tank ko. I was wondering kung bakit parang mahina ang flow ng tubig. Ngayon ko lang naalala na may another attachment pala sya if you're not going to use the bubbles. So kinabit ko sya ngayon and maganda na ang bagsak ng tubig. Hopefully this translates to a better-looking fish :)
