1. Ano ano po ba criteria sa pagtingin ng magandang discus?
The main criteria is shape. Shape must be round (not oblong shape), minimum black peppering, eyes small in relative to the body and eating aggressively.

2. May mga nagbebenta po ba ng fry pa lang?
Most breeders and resellers sells mainly juvenilles for economic reason. Although adults are attainable usually too expensive to most hobbyist and beginners.

3. makikita na po ba sa fry na magiging maganda discus pag laki?
Based on the strain. You already know what the adult will look like. Do your research on the various strain before purchasing.

4. Ano po ba minimum tank size para sa adult discus?
On average it's 10 gallons per adult but for juvenilles it's better to crowd them. Start with 6 to 10 pieces. Juvenilles do better in large group. They eat more and grow faster in school.

5. pwede po ba ihalo discus sa arowana?
NO.. Discus is best kept where they are the boss of the tank. Discus can be kept with tetras and catfish or other community fish otherwise they will be outcompeted for good.

6. Magkano po average price ng discus fry?
Sorry I don't know the market in the PI. Ask Eric for pricing. He goes by the name "Discus"

Hobbist and Discus Guru, nagbebenta din sya but laging ubos. kasi ganda quality ng discus nya at meron ka pa libreng lectures from him. but as of now, alam ko medyo busy store nila kasi christmas season. try mo pm. nasa likod lang ng store nila yung mga discuseseseseseseses nya.

para sakin, swerte basta mag alaga ka ng pets. ang alam ko "BAWAL ANG TAMAD PAG DISCUS ANG AALAGAAN MO"... you don't have to Sacrifices anything to keep discus... you have to learn how to be Responsible. :lol:

Sir Frontier iii is right, dapat matyaga ka palit tubig araw araw mga 30% to 50%, at beef heart mix. read ka mga past thread bakit important yung water change. nandun yung explanation. good luck

50 gal is too big for them to grow out properly, discus frys do best when kept in small crowded tank, provided you can do everyday water change, kasi if not their growth will be stunted...;)

Check mo ingredients ko. but you can try din ingredients nila sir eric, sir dan, sir frontieriii, sir discus dubai.

i recommend you separate the discus from the FH, maselan ang discus, madali mahawaan ng sakit. the FH might have parasites which could be deadly to the discus.

Yup.. glass po yung divider ko.. Tas, oo po. aggressive mga flowerhorn kahit juveniles pa lang. Yung sa ph, di po ako sure.. WC, 20% everyday.. Yung sa Temp, 27-29deg C mine maintain kong temp nila..

2)beefheart can be stored for a month thats what i do kasi marami kung gumawa ako...
3)no problem sa punit na buntot as long as its not fin rot or anything......
4)bloodworm are readily available sa petshops in cartimar or contact chinatown petshop, look for ivan and his shop have a few types of bw to choose from...
